The goal of the Girls on the Run of Los Angeles County Giving Tree is to ask 12 of your friends to give $15. Each $15 gift puts one girl through one week of a GOTRLA season.  Together, your GOTRLA Giving Tree network of 12 can put one girl through one season of learning and believing in the power of her own unique individuality. Girls on the Run of LA serves girls from all over Los Angeles and never turns a girl away from participating in the program on the basis of financial status.  Your gift of green will go a long way to serve girls from every background in the Los Angeles community. How would you like to turn that GOTRLA Giving Tree into a Forest?


If each person in your Giving Tree network then asks 12 of their friends and family to donate $15, your extended network will be able to put an entire TEAM of girls through one season of GOTRLA.  You’ve just planted a small forest simply by planting the seed!

I want to share with you an amazing program in the Los Angeles community that helps positively influence the lives of young girls in our community – Girls on the Run of Los Angeles County (GOTRLA).

GOTRLA is a life-changing program where girls in 3rd through 8th grades meet afterschool twice a week to train for a 3.1 mile run/walk and participate in self-esteem enhancing games and conversations.  Our goal is to encourage positive emotional, social, mental, spiritual and physical development for girls in Los Angeles County.
